Front Office Manager
Busy outpatient surgery center is seeking a professional and energetic Front Office Manager. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the medical field. The Office Manager should be highly organized and able to multitask with ease. Manager will provide leadership to and oversight of the Front Office Staff. Candidate should also be resourceful, reliable, dedicated, and a self-starter with the ability to seek solutions, adjust to changes, and implement improvements.
Responsibilities
manager coordinates and is responsible for all business office functions required for the day-to-day front office operations and supervision, orientation, education, and evaluation of front office staff. Other responsibilities include organization of the front office for efficient operation, performing medical staff credentialing, monthly reports, coordination with the anesthesia staff and the center clinical director as well as communications to Administrator for all activities of the Front Office.
Front Office responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling, registration, verifying insurance, insurance authorizations, collection of co-pays, coordination of required medical and financial information, paper and electronic medical records management, front office inventory and supply management and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Front Office Manager assumes those direct responsibilities when staffing dictates.
S/he is knowledgeable of electronic scheduling system. S/he will interact with patients, physicians and their office staff, and the surgery center staff. S/he is required to consistently project a professional demeanor and appearance and interact in a friendly, cooperative manner with both patients and staff.
Required Knowledge and Skills
· Knowledge of basic business office procedures
· Keyboard, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Prior management experience
· Previous experience in a healthcare preferably outpatient surgery/clinical environment
· Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance
· Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills over the phone, in- person and in written form
· Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented
· Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
· Basic math skills
· Decision Making – Identifies issues, problems, and opportunities
Education and Work Experience
Associates degree in business or healthcare related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2 years office management experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Medical Office setting

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
