Job Discription
The PCS (Patient Care Services) Operations Coordinator provides analytical and project management expertise for assigned area(s) within the Patient Care Services Division at HSC Pediatric Center. This role performs various administrative, clerical, and secretarial tasks within assigned HSC departments under little supervision. Responsible for the ongoing daily operational issues of assigned departments. Provides administrative support to the PCS Director and/or Managers as assigned. Leads or participates in planning, directing, and implementing projects. Assists in the development, monitoring, and implementation of a cost-effective budget. Coordinates and monitors payroll, schedules, and non-clinical systems.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
5 years Office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. (Required)
3 years Business/Healthcare Management Experience (Preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Demonstrated capability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to cope with stress and interact tactfully with persons internal and external to the department to promote positive relations.
Excellent Customer Service skills required.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of office and clerical skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
