Chitra Productions Hiring for Software Developer at Fresno, CA Full Time

Chitra Productions is seeking a Software Developer to support a DoD contract position in Monterey, CA.

Position Requirements:

• Possess the required security clearance

Candidates must have the following minimum skills and experience:

• a) HPC and/or Virtualization technologies and processes in support of UNIX/Linuxtype operating systems. (ten years)
• b) HPC and/or Virtualization Maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, and user interfaces. (five years)
• c) Setting up benchmark tests to monitor system stability for determining methods to optimize and tune Linux Cluster systems HPC and virtualization performance. (two years)
• d) Writing comprehensive technical documentation targeted at various reader levels including users, operators, and system analysts. (two years)
• e) Monitoring, reviewing, and implementing security problems reports such as Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). (four years)
• f) Security hardening of computer systems and investigating security problems. (four years)
• g) Experience in collecting metrics and programming Excel and / or R/Python to display performance or capacity issues. (two years)

Within the last ten years, five years’ experience with:

• a) Virtual operating systems and components. (e.g., vSphere, and vCenter Server).
• b) Structured analysis, planning, and programming techniques as well as FORTRAN and C languages and Python, Perl, Java and shell programming.
• c) Current Security concepts and software such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) interfaces.
• d) Automated policy configuration (e.g., CFEngine or Ansible).
• e) Node provisioning (e.g., Red Hat Satellite Server, Cobbler, ROCKS clustered computing).

Within the last ten years, five years’ experience with:

• a) Working at the system level with the main components of cluster computers and associated peripherals; differentiating between hardware and software problems on such systems.
• b) System programming and system administration functions listed above on systems at a production computer center consisting of clustered systems, including: setup and administration on Storage Area Network (SAN) disk arrays; workload scheduling and job-queuing software such as Altair’s Portable Batch System (Altair/PBS Pro); and performance monitoring and tuning to optimize system performance.

Position is on-site in Monterey, California.
