Summary Description of Position

The position provides leadership and supervision of the work activities and performance of occupational nurses and engages in providing health services.

Duties include supervision and leadership of employees, strategic direction & goal alignment, planning, performance management, integration, customer service and human resource issues. This position will need to establish collaborative and effective working relationships with the client in supported business units in order to develop and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement and compliance excellence across supported functions.

Occupational Health programs will be managed in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health, worker’s compensation, preventative, wellness, and chronic disease condition services in accordance with Evernorth’s policies, practices, procedures and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.

Major Duties:Oversees and manage the administrative, clinical and operational nursing duties:

• Manages employees.Directs and supervises employees’ work activities and monitors work performance. Collaborates with Human Resources to screen, interview and hire candidates. Administers disciplinary actions and recommends performance improvement actions in collaboration with the HR Manager. Monitors work performance and recommends compensation decisions based on guidelines. Promotes a cooperative and harmonious environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.
• Participates as a member of the Team.Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Build effective relationships with management. Interface with internal customers, internal and external stakeholders, and others as appropriate for the position to ensure that the functions assigned to the group are provided and delivered as expected and in a cost-effective manner.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

• Registered Nurse with active RN license in GA OR Licensed Practical Nurse with active LPN license in GA, in good standing
• Supervisor experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Minimal 2 Years Nursing Experience
• CPR Certificate-American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Basic Computer Skills & Typing expertise for use of the Electronic Medical Record
• Interpersonal/human relations skills

Preferred:

• Knowledge/Experience of the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge/Experience with occupational health nursing
• Knowledge of recordable and non-recordable accidents
• Knowledge/Experience with onsite health clinics

Target hours are 7 am – 3 pm but may have some flexibility.

This role is patient facing & you must be fully vaccinated OR be required to undergo testing twice a week. Note, in some locations local law requires the clinician to be vaccinated with no testing option, in those locations local law takes precedent.

This role is based in the health centers in Dalton Georgia. Remote work is not an option.
