Job Summary:
The Sales/Marketing Communications Lead Analyst will report to the Sales Effectiveness Advisor within Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB) of the Government Segment.

This individual will work directly with the CSB Broker Sales and CSB Broker Marketing teams to develop and deliver communications to external partners, consult on the communication strategy and support other marketing and communications initiatives and day-to-day activities for the broker distribution channel.

The individual must be able to work autonomously and with limited supervision or guidance. They will be responsible for working with key matrix partners such as marketing, product, operations, legal, IT, project management and other matrix partners as necessary to develop communications. This individual must understand and effectively translate the business information for the broker audience. Understanding multiple product lines within the Government Business and specifically CSB will be required to support the channel.

The successful candidate will bring a keen attention to detail, passion for learning, sense of ownership of the voice of the broker channel and intellectual curiosity to this role.

Core Responsibilities:
Meets with business partners to understand requirements for communications to translate product, technology, marketing and operational information for the broker audience.

Writes communications to brokers as needed and deploys via email distribution service to various audiences within the broker community.

Provides professional input on the development of the external marketing communication strategy

Responsible for partnering with internal business leads to develop and maintain a clear and consistent CSB broker story in the market, support collateral, and facilitate delivery of sales materials

Takes initiative to identify communications opportunities, suggest ways to mitigate challenges and continuously improve how the channel communicates with its external partners

Manage creative and print relationships to ensure materials are created accurately and delivered on a timely basis

Analyze competitors and previous materials to evaluate effectiveness of current communications and messaging

Innovate and drive change as needed to properly support the channel and our partners

Ensure materials developed are compliant and properly submitted to compliance for regulatory filings

Distribute final materials across multiple platforms and departments

Shares best practices and knowledge of communications with peers to drive agent engagement, improve effectiveness and efficiency, and unify the Cigna brand

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred

3-5 years’ experience in communications, working within a sales organization preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office products and experienced using email distribution services (i.e. Constant Contact, Jangomail, etc.)

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 57,100 – 95,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
