Develops, implements and administers cost-effective benefits programs such as pension plans and life, health and disability insurance. Assist with execution of assigned strategy; plan or program including the design and administration of benefit and reward programs and practices.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with execution of the assigned strategy, plan or program.
Work with internal communications to develop and execute communications and resources for employees.
Coordinate with relevant vendors.
Coordinate with internal partners such as: HR Operations, payroll, finance and legal as necessary to operationalize.
Assist with analysis, review and update of the relevant corporate policies for the area, including the annual review of the policies and updates; assist with execution of policy changes with Benefits Team and relevant HR Operations and HRIS partners.
Conduct research for escalations, exceptions and appeals.
Review against current plan or program, resolve or escalate as appropriate.
Provide consultation to divisional personnel and customers concerning the benefit plans and programs.
This includes:
developing, maintaining and delivering effective communications to managers and employees on benefits related processes
acting as an intradepartmental liaison between functions and operations in implementing benefits processes
consulting with HR staff and managers and provide guidance regarding issues; coordinating and participating in educational training and updates for HR team
Assist with review and analysis of relevant metrics for ongoing measurement.
Coordinate the procurement of metrics with relevant analytics.
Report out of relevant metrics.
Conduct or participate in benefit surveys.
Develop and maintain a database of survey results.
Analyze healthcare claims, wellness and survey data and recommend changes to ensure the maintenance of the organizations competitive position in the marketplace.
Provide related reports to staff and managers as appropriate. Analyze data and make recommendations related to problem areas and trends.
Conduct research, analysis and provide appropriate reports related to CCHMC benefit programs and policies.
Perform budget analysis related to proposed benefit plan design and changes
Implement technology solutions to streamline benefit processes.
Assist with the planning, designing, implementation and testing of PeopleSoft and other computer applications as related to benefits administration.
Coordinate and participate in educational training and updates for Human Resources personnel and CCHMC employees. Develop and maintain communications media, including email, internet and print, to promote and educate on benefit programs.
Responsible for oversight and modification of employee-facing communication vehicles like CenterLink, benefits materials, etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
2 – 5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred:
MS Office Suite
