The Human Resource Manager would be in charge of all employee related areas including but not limited to recruitment, selection, employee relations, training, onboarding, payroll and benefits, workers comp. They must be attentive to detail, thorough, possess a strong work ethic, and be professional and courteous when working with others. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Owns human resources planning and administration.
Audits and maintains employee files and policy administration, maintains confidentiality.
Administration of OSHA record-keeping and claims.
Executes talent acquisition, recruitment, training, and retention initiatives.
Executes bi-weekly payroll (Paycom) and ensures payroll accuracy,
Benefit negotiations, open enrollment, compliance and administration.
Administrate 401(k) administration.
Acts as project manager for agreed HR initiatives and special projects across the Company.
Serves as a go-to resource for employee human resources needs.
Develops and monitors annual budgets that include compensation, human resources support, recruitment, and employee recognition.
Works with supervision/management on appropriate employee corrective action and termination documentation and processing; prepare responses for unemployment compensation (UC) questionnaires; may represent location(s) in UC hearings; conducts exit interviews as needed.
Travels to other locations within the region as necessary to support initiatives or address employee concerns and issues.
Hosts onboarding and exit interviews for employees, investigate employee complaints, and lead presentations regarding workplace ethics, teamwork and productivity.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for benefits management and delivery, and recommend policy and procedure changes, including all applicable benefit filings and audits.
Controls current HRIS system and assists with new HR software implementations.
Builds relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration with all company departments.
Helps to create and maintain culture building in a positive work environment.
Manages, mentors, and develops team members.

SKILLS & ABILITIES / EDUCATION & TRAINING:
PHR/SHRM-CP certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Knowledge and experience with employment laws and practices including: FMLA, ADA, AAP, FLSA, EEOC.
Working knowledge of compensation practices, employee relations performance management, federal and state employment laws and compliance, and annual reporting (EEO-1, 5500, PCORI, etc.).
8-10 years of experience in Human Resources.
Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
Great attention to detail in calculations.
Work well with people at all levels of the organization
Willingness and ability to establish, nurture, and work through teams of staff to accomplish objectives

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Position involves light walking, standing, stooping, carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (under 25 pounds).
Requires visual acuity to read numbers, letters, and images; depth perception; hand and finger dexterity to use a keyboard at an advanced rate, and hand-eye coordination.
Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to hear over phone and carry on routine conversations.
