POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role, you play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of our People & Culture (Human Resources) services to support our field and home office workforce. You will leverage your strategic and tactical skills to manage, maintain, and optimize our P&C technology platform for administering payroll, employee profile data management, benefits administration, workforce reporting and compliance, records retention, and P&C processes.

Additionally, you will play a big role in the implementation of a new HRIS platform (Workday) and partner closely with the Senior Director of People & Culture to enhance the HR value proposition by modeling a “people first” approach and leading a team of service focused HR professionals.

This position requires someone that can deliver value to the organization as a whole by anticipating organizational needs and partnering with cross functional leaders to establish process and procedure efficiencies for continuous improvement. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of People & Culture and manages 3-4 direct reports. This is a full-time, exempt position, based in Denver, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage updates, and configure the HRIS platform, including but not limited to; annual evaluation or HRIS/Payroll applications to meet business needs and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Lead implementation to Workday platform from UKG.
• Manage data integrity, data validation, data collection, and ensure carrier file feeds are working properly.
• Establish and maintain processes for compliance reporting.
• Lead a team to administer and validate employee information in the HRIS/Payroll system, onboarding, changes, and terminations.
• Serve as the functional expert in all HRIS/Payroll applications; provides direction, knowledge, and training on HRIS systems to end users and other team members.
• Partner closely with vendors to develop and implement efficiencies to the HRIS system through new functionality for continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, and produce HR analytics and ad-hoc reports for multiple departments.
• Establish, maintain, and audit consistent records retention practices including employee personnel files, I-9’s, and documents related to onboarding, performance management, LOA, etc.

• Ensure timely and accurate administration of bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Provide direction and support to the Payroll team by auditing bi-weekly payroll, acting as payroll back-up, and troubleshooting.

• Establish efficient processes for the administration and management of the payroll function, including jurisdiction tax reporting, garnishments, deductions, and responding to employee inquiries, company communication, resources, and tools.
• Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and voluntary plans.
• Oversee Open Enrollment process
• Maintain partnerships with the Company’s current benefits brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Oversee the administration processes for Unemployment Claims.

• Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance with Federal and State laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field and min. 4+ years of experience in the administration of HRIS, Payroll Processing, and Benefits Administration.
• Min. 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll, especially in California.
• Prior experience setting direction for and managing HR Administrators.
• Experience analyzing, implementing, integrating, and optimizing HR Technology and carrier feeds, preferably with Workday.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data from multiple feeds.
• Prior experience with ad hoc reporting.
• Must be able manage multiple projects efficiently and contribute both strategically and tactically.
• Must be values-driven and service-minded.
• Ability and desire to create trusting, genuine, professional relationships with cross functional team members at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong business acumen and organizational savvy.
• Must be able to maintain composure under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize critical time sensitive tasks.

Compensation: $90-110k + benefits. Total compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
