Perform duties to oversee and support the preparation and processing of accounts payable accounts receivable, payroll; perform daily banking functions; prepare financial accounting records and reports; and assist with other assigned general accounting activities, working within the limits of established policies. Provide back up for hourly/salary weekly payroll.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist to prepare and process monthly financial statements. Monitor and analyze journal entries and general ledger accounts. Check variances to budget and answer related questions for department heads. Generate monthly spreadsheets, financial statements, supplementary reports and variance analysis for management review as requested.
2. Make bank deposits as needed and contact bank daily to obtain balances, account activity, and wire transfer information. Prepare borrowing base report periodically to determine credit line and receivable balances. Prepare weekly cash flow schedules and reports.
3. Monitor and back up payroll function and maintain payroll records for related tax returns.
4. Provide direction and guidance and assign workflow in accounts payable insuring invoices are vouchered and paid.
5. Oversee accounts receivable workflow, daily invoicing, and banking deposits.
6. Perform inventory audits of finished product semiannually with external auditors
7. Update futures trading reports on a daily basis, based on broker information. Send updated reports to corporate office. Record losses and gains at the end of each month.
8. Perform any range of special projects associated with the tracking, recording, audit, reconciliation or compilation of financial data or transactions, as directed.
9. Provide assistance with other general department activities.

1. Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
2. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
3. Participate in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
