This position supervises and participates in the cleaning and maintenance of carpets and floors; and performs other related duties as required.
Work schedule is Monday thru Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and requires working in various locations island-wide. May be called out to work on off-duty status to respond to carpet cleaning emergencies. This position is a disaster response worker.
There is one vacancy with the Department of Facility Maintenance, Public Building and Electrical Maintenance Division. This list may be used to fill future full-time or part-time vacancies in this department.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in the cleaning and maintenance of carpets and floors.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in the care and maintenance of carpets and floors; and the ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others; give and follow oral and written instructions; demonstrate proper work methods and set the pace; operate tools and equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of carpets, tile and other floors; maintain harmony in work relationships among workers; encourage safety practices and safety rules; handle weights and loads.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid Hawaii driver’s license (Type 3) as required.
