This position is open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City’s Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) – BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

The Department of Assets, Information, and Services and the Chicago Public Library are seeking a Senior Telecommunication Specialist to install, monitor, repair and maintain communications systems and equipment and maintain client server connectivity working with integrated operating systems. The successful candidate will be familiar will telephone and data cables, wiring, circuits, digital computers and all related systems and devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Additional duties may be required for this position.
Location: 400 South State Street
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (some weekends required)
Salary: $71,280.00/year
