DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Houston Health & Human Services Department (HHD) is seeking a Customer Service Representative III who uses knowledge and problem-solving techniques to provide general information and customer assistance to internal and external customers.
The responsibilities are as follows:
Conducts educational training to groups/individuals regarding COVID-19
Presentations to community members; engaging Community based organizations regarding vaccine confidence; and supporting immunization related activities in vulnerable communities
Conducts immunization events to reduce access and equity disparities among vulnerable at-risk communities
Conducts and documents assessments of immunization records in public and private sector facilities
Gathers and collects information to generate reports, activity logs, etc.
Conducts and documents outreach activities, i.e. introductory site visits to providers and daycare staff
Participates in health fairs and community events as needed and requested
Other duties, as assigned

The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or a GED.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) years of administrative or customer service related experience are required.
Substitutions: Associate’s degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience. Bachelors Degree may be substituted for the years of experience.

**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

GRANT FUND POSITION
Grants & Special Funded positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred. Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate’s qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
