Provides administrative support to the Chief of Police.
Prepares weekly department payroll.
Prepares and submits invoices for payment.
Assists in managing department and E-911 Dispatch budgets; prepares and submits E-911 budget reports to Gwinnett County.
Prepares a variety of correspondence.
Maintains department personnel files.
Coordinates and plans for special events.
Prepares a variety of regular and special reports.
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance.
Maintains Gwinnett Chiefs Association accounts.
Prepares schedules for pension/deferred compensation and insurance benefits meetings.
Schedules new employees for pre-employment testing.
Maintains office supply inventory; reorders as needed.
Performs related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Chief of Police assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
