Under general supervision, this position is to inspect and enforce compliance with all laws, regulations and ordinances governing land use, minimum housing, property maintenance, abandoned and uninhabitable properties, signs, zoning, landscaping and related environmental issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working with the public in code enforcement, planning, building inspection, construction or closely related field. A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
Must possess and maintain Florida Association of Code Enforcement (F.A.C.E) Level 1 certification or obtain within 12 months of employment.
This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union.
Successful passing of a background check and drug screening is required.
Civil Service Examination may be required.
