This is the entry level class in the professional Civil Engineering series. Performs routine professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; assists in preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.
The current vacancy is within the Department of Facility Maintenance, Storm Water Quality Division. This position is responsible for the success of a number of routine and recurring engineering and regulatory functions and projects related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Storm Water Management Program. This shall include all field inspections, enforcement, monitoring, planning, design, construction management, administration of consultant contracts, program management, product evaluation, research & development, system optimization, database management, and Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
