HOW IT STARTED…
ClaimPay was created to help medical practices and practitioners more effectively manage the process and to help ensure that they are paid on time while adhering to laws, rules, and guidelines surrounding the revenue generation process.ClaimPay was founded by Brian Ward who also founded DocRX.com.

Provide our clients with unmatched customer service, developing a balance between innovative smart technology and the finest medical billing staff in the industry.The Billing Account Services Representative is responsible for the timely and accurate submissions of medical claims to insurance companies, pharmacy benefit managers and third-party partners.
The main responsibilities of the BAS Representative include data entry of all patient claim information from Claimpay’s clients into its proprietary billing software, reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, managing transmission reporting to ensure that all claims have been billed to the proper entity and monitoring and obtaining records for missing patient information. These tasks are primarily accomplished via telephone or email contact and/or verification with the client’s EMR access.
The representative is responsible for meeting all department targets regarding productivity and information accuracy and transmission. BAS Representatives at Claimpay, Inc. are a specific subset of the medical billing field and specialize in all transmissions of claims relating to Workman’s
Compensations patients who receive in office dispensed medication.
The BAS Representative should remain and strive to possess the current knowledge on insurance guidelines, state fee schedules, active PBM contracts and reimbursement agreements.
The BAS Representatives first step would be to assess a report of the previous day’s dispensing report. It is imperative that the representative utilize organizational skills to prepare their work schedule for the day. The BAS will then determine the most effective manner to ensure all claims have been either transmitted electronically or mailed to the proper entity.
As the representative prepares claims to be transmitted, they are responsible for obtaining any and all required billing information from the client or the available EMR access. The BAS must follow up with payers and third-party partners on non-accepted claims to ensure all data is accurate and billed within the standard billing cycle timeframe. The goal of BAS Representative is to ensure that all claims are billed by the 15th of the following month and follow all month end closing guidelines to meet criteria.
The BAS Representative is required to facilitate assisting the Team Lead in reviewing claim transmission errors within the month end closing procedures. Duties are generally assigned on a primary basis, but all personnel are cross-trained and may perform functions in the various business segments.Primary Responsibilities
