In summary, Corrections Officers are responsible for the intake, oversight and security of inmates in the Clark County jail located in Jeffersonville Indiana. Successful candidates will have access to free law enforcement training opportunities. Promotion opportunities are available along with the ability to become a member of specialized units such as Corrections Emergency Response Team, Court Team and Transportation.
Uniforms and Equipment are provided at no cost. Other benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, holiday pay, PERF, paid vacation and overtime.
The beginning salary posted may be increased depending on experience and training.
Requirements include: A high school diploma, GED or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age; must not have a recorded felony conviction; must possess a valid driver’s license.
