JOB PURPOSE:
The Logistics Director leads the operations of the Logistics Department and develops logistics plans and procedures to ensure that business needs are met. Oversees the identification and implementation of initiatives to reduce operating expenses within the supply chain by applying traditional industrial engineering techniques (for example, work measurements, process improvement); collaborating with key cross functional teams (for example, manufacturing, fulfillment, account management) to align resources and identify priorities; partnering with material handling providers to identify and implement appropriate solutions, to include possible 3PL support. Oversee and manage the execution of export/import freight movement, including all export/import compliance requirements.
