A beautiful community hospital located along the Pacific Ocean is looking for a Controller at their 100 bed, non-profit hospital. In addition to leading the general accounting at the acute care hospital, the Controller will work with the medical group, medical foundation and public health district. The Controller will work with a well-tenured Chief Financial Officer and enjoy this coastal community. The Controller will work at an acute care hospital that has been serving the local community for many and is driven to heal, comfort and serve the community with compassion. The Controller will play an integral role in ensuring the long-term financial stability of this medical system to ensure this vision can be carried out for many years to come. The Controller will feel empowered in the position to make important decisions and will be supported by the CFO for consultation when needed.

The Controller will prepare annual operating and capital budgets, monthly board reports, and annual cost reports. Moreover, the Controller will be responsible for monthly close activities. The Controller will lead this healthcare accounting department that has shown impressive stability over the years. The Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accountants and Patient Access teams understand the responsibilities of each of their roles and this unit works as an organized team.
