Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for proposal writing, supporting marketing initiatives, strengthening company brand standards, and assisting with sales efforts across Coast’s business lines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Creating RFx and sales proposal documents aimed at persuading the recipient to enter into a business agreement with Coast. Specifically:
Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional, persuasive, and credible manner
Editing and revising proposals according to feedback
Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies and branding style
Working with the design team to create graphics and visuals for documents
Identifying opportunities for proposal writing
Creating marketing and sales content in line with the company’s marketing and sales goals
Assisting in marketing campaign creation and execution for all lines of business
Assisting in the creation and submission of press releases and public relations efforts
Assisting with company website content
Assisting with advertising and content for social media and recruiting accounts
Supporting ancillary departments’ marketing needs
Following up with clients and prospects for the Sales Department after webinars, conferences, and meetings as necessary
Assisting in client satisfaction surveys
Reviewing/researching competitive landscape to develop new ideas and to ensure Coast maintains a competitive advantage.
Keeping the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform updated
Other marketing assignments as required.
Security

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in English literature, marketing/advertising, business administration, or related field required. Equivalent work experience in similar position may be substituted for educational requirement.
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of marketing experience, three (3) years preferred. Proposal writing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Should be articulate, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
Principles and practices of marketing and business writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Working knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment.
Establish a good working relationship with team members and internal contacts in order to maintain and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to comply with rules, regulations, laws and methods as related to debt collection.
Work independently in the absence of immediate supervision.
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
May be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks.
Travel may be involved and required.
Clearance
As a federal contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and security clearance granting access to classified information. The background investigation is conducted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and is an evaluation of the whole person to determine suitability.
