Administers all the functions and activities of a diverse credit and collection section, including delinquent account management, field collection, and payment processing activities; and performs other related duties as required.
The current vacancy oversees and supervises the operations of the Collection and Credit Section of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. The position is responsible for all aspects of supervision including personnel management (e.g. staffing, scheduling, training, coaching and counseling) and operational management (e.g. development, implementation, and retaining operational processes and process improvements) according to applicable Rules and Regulations, laws, policies and procedures.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Five years of general office experience, three of which shall have involved processing payments for debt collection, including or supplemented by one year of supervisory experience.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of supervision; basic principles and practices of public relations; collection methods, techniques and procedures; debt collection and bankruptcy procedures; policies, rules and regulations relating to billing and credit; methods and procedures of receiving, recording, collecting, safeguarding and depositing of payments; office practices and procedures; recordkeeping methods and procedures; and report writing.
