Colonial Chemical Hiring for Corporate Staff Accountant Job at United States Full Time

We are looking for a Corporate Staff Accountant to assist with preparation of financial statements and overseeing of the company’s budgeting and forecasting activities. You will also have to develop tactics and suggestions to facilitate the decision-making processes.

We expect a person that is reliable٫ detail-oriented and have business-oriented thinking. A successful candidate should also be able to communicate productively with their team and other departments.

Responsibilities include:

• Collect and analyze financial data and ledgers for multiple companies
• Create and manage budgets and monitor expenditures for multiple companies
• Manage monthly٫ quarterly and annual closings for multiple companies
• Retrieve financial statements and results٫ and generate periodical reports based on this data
• Supervise external and internal audits
• Explore potential risks by analyzing financial data٫ and create forecasts
• Develop suggestions to optimize business plans and resolve cost-related issues
• Knowledge of accounting principles, techniques, and ability to acquire knowledge of their application to specific accounting situations in accordance with established department procedures.
• Knowledge of the methods used in preventing, discovering, and correcting discrepancies in financial records.

Requirements are:

• Profound experience with risk analysis٫ budgeting and forecasting
• Prior experience with Accounts Payable, Account Receivables, General Ledger
• In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
• Good practical experience with finance software and MS Office٫ particularly Excel
• Strong analytical٫ communication and problem-solving skills٫ with close attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Good leadership and team building skills
• Microsoft Great Plains experience a plus but not required
• Experience working with multiple companies/databases also a plus
• BS or BA degree in Accounting٫ Finance or another related area
