Perform a variety of duties involving accounts payable, bookkeeping and record keeping. Weekly review and process departments’ invoices after being authorized for payment. Issue checks and upload to bank log and check register. Prepare journal entries and maintain vendor files. Maintain annual fiscal documentation and track fuel surcharge taxes. TO QUALIFY High school education with additional training in the accounting or bookkeeping field. Some college preferred, but not required. Two years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the above duties may be acceptable. Considerable knowledge of office procedures, accounting and bookkeeping. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to a busy work environment. Attention to detail is critical and must be able to maintain focus in situations where many interruptions may occur. Ability to act in a manner to maintain confidentiality of all documentation and records. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all employees, vendors, agencies and customers.
This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Civil Service and union represented.
SALARY $3,216 – $3,980 per month Clerk 1
or
$3,537 – $4,378 per month Clerk 2
