Hours Per Week: 35 hours based on operational needs.
Salary Range: $65,000-$72,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Operator of the MDHU is responsible for timely arrival at sites/special events as per the daily schedule.
The Mobile Dental Health Unit’s dimensions are: 35 feet in length, 12.6 feet in height, and approximately 8 feet in width.
Responsibilities
Coordinate logistics pertaining to arrival, parking, and departure times for scheduled events.
Responsible for managing regular maintenance and repair of vehicle (scheduling repairs, maintenance, etc.)
Transport dental supplies from Community DentCare central office to MDHU.
Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate MDHU in a safe and courteous manner.
Register patients’ demographic data including insurance information into the billing system.
Complete daily encounter sheets.
Screen persons entering vehicle for security purposes.
Ensure that all patients, visitors, guests, and co-workers receive personalized, prompt attention and are treated with dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience.
Current CDL class B NY State Driver’s license
2-3 years’ driving experience
Familiarity with air brakes and hydraulic suspension stabilizer
Operation understanding of Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual(English/Spanish)
Available early mornings, occasional evenings & weekends as needed.
