DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Assistant 3 you will work under the direct supervision of the Clerical/Secretarial Supervisor and indirect supervision of the Administrative Officer, functions in the capacity of office support staff to ensure office operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, and performs secretarial duties for the Workers’ Compensation Judges.
You will demonstrate knowledge of the policies, procedures, technology and equipment for WCOA including but not limited to Workers’ Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS), DataCap Thin Client/Thick Client, all Microsoft applications, ESS, the Workers’ Compensation Act, the Judges’ Rules and procedures, and various statewide contracts as they apply to this position.
Duties include: Follow instructions given verbally or in writing by Judge and/or chain of command. Schedule events by coordinating Judge’s and parties schedules. Schedule events in accordance with the Workers’ Compensation Act. Type and generate general correspondence, memorandum, invitations, and/or reports from handwritten or dictated sources in established format. Type decisions from handwritten, typewritten or dictated sources in established format, proofread grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Add decisions to WCAIS, and verify WCAIS for accuracy of information before circulating the decision.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirements:
Position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
