DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The employee in this position will be responsible for typing and sending “Welcome Letters” to new consumers, explaining the newly created care plans on behalf of the ongoing care managers, retrieve weekly vendor status sheets, check SAMS data base for name of care manager assigned, copy status sheets and distribute to staff.
They will also need to obtain monthly financial reports for representative payee consumers, check the main fax machine, distribute the faxes, and relieve the primary switchboard operator as assigned or needed.
Other duties include, but not limited to, balancing the daily postage usage in the postage machine, distribute the incoming mail to staff on a rotating basis, and act as a backup to other clerical support staff in the social services units.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Schuylkill, Sullivan & Wyoming counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
