Senate Bill 411 merged the Department of Corrections and the Board of Probation and Parole. This position is within the Department of Corrections.
As a Parole Communications Operator for the Pennsylvania Parole Board, you will provide support to parole supervision staff by receiving, interpreting, transmitting, and coordinating communications and activities in the twenty-four (24) hour operations monitoring center. You will be responding to messages received through various electronic means in the 24-hour Parole Communications Center. You will also be receiving, prioritizing, and determining appropriate responses to incoming communications including urgent or emergency messages; relaying messages and other communications to parole supervision staff; and evaluating alert data concerning potential violations by offenders subject to electronic monitoring and initiating appropriate actions in accordance with Board procedures. You will also be operating and monitoring two-way radios, Board and Department of Corrections applications on personal computers, the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network/National Crime Information Center (CLEAN/NCIC) and Justice Network (JNET) terminals, telephones, and facsimile machines.
