The candidate in this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex procurements; and supporting the program offices with procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines from the Commonwealth Procurement Code. As a Procurement Specialist 1, you will be responsible for the purchasing of commodities and services for the Department of State and ensure that all aspects of the purchasing processes are in accordance with the Field Purchasing Manual, M215.3, the Commonwealth Procurement Code (Act 57 of 1998) and the Department of General Services Procurement Handbook.
