Serves as a program specialist with responsibility for planning, developing, revising, evaluating and monitoring the operations and activities of an assigned community services program; supervises and oversees the work of subordinate case management staff; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancy:
There is one vacancy with the Department of Community Services, WorkHawaii Division. The position will be filled on a temporary (limited-term) basis with the possibility of extension. Under the general supervision of the Community Services Specialist V, the Community Services Specialist IV oversees the services and activities of the Juvenile Justice Center and provides support and assistance to other Division programs.
Special Work Requirements: Maybe required to work evenings and weekends.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in psychology, social work, social sciences, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional (i.e., post-bachelor’s degree, non-clerical) employment service, counseling, social work, or related work experience, one (1) year of which shall have been representative of the next lower level (i.e., experience at the Community Services Specialist III level or equivalent).
