The HR Employee Experience Manager is a key HR Generalist role that supports Compass and the HR Department in providing an environment and culture that maximizes talent engagement and retention, positioning Compass as a competitive non-profit employer in Maryland. This position reports to the HR Director and supervises the Benefits Administrator/HR Coordinator and is responsible for activities relating to employee relations, satisfaction, engagement, wellness, safety and the overall employee experience. The Employee Experience Manager operates independently and as a team member, ensuring a customer service focus with employees and regularly using judgment and discretion in accomplishing the strategic goals and objectives of Compass, Inc., a Maryland-based provider of quality services for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as produce the results that accomplish the missions of the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department’s mission is to attract, recruit, hire, develop and retain highly qualified personnel who enable Compass to meet strategic goals and improve quality of service to individuals supported by Compass.

The ideal candidate should possess:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Human Resources or related field. Three to six years’ experience in HR with 2+ years in supervisory or leadership HR roles. Prior experience with benefit administration and employee relations required. PHR or SHRM-CP certification and prior experience working for a human or social services provider preferred. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and maintain up to date status with COVID-19 vaccinations. If not already vaccinated, must obtain vaccination during first 45 days of employment.
Successful candidate must have strong human resources knowledge and demonstrated skills in areas of employee engagement, employee relations, wellness, benefit administration, and performance management. Must have strong collaborative skills, strong technology and data analysis skills and demonstrated ability to create efficient systems for meeting objectives aligned with strategic goals.
Compensation and Work Conditions: $60,000-$65,000 commensurate with qualifications. Eligible for Compass’ full-time benefit package which includes health, vision, dental, short-term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement with generous employer match, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO.)
