What are we looking for in a Onboarding Coordinator?
As part of our Human Resources team, the Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for organizing and implementing the onboarding process for new employees, interns, students, and volunteers at Comprehensive Healthcare. The Onboarding Coordinator works with representatives from various departments to ensure our policies, procedures, and employment expectations is communicated clearly to new hires. For incoming staff, the onboarding process is the official introduction to our company culture, so the goal of this position is to make onboarding a pleasant and useful experience for new hires while still accomplishing the training and tasks necessary per state, federal, and program requirements. In addition, the Onboarding Coordinator also maintains our online training system, ensuring each new hire completes the required trainings for their type of position, and performs primary source verification to ensure new hires are fully qualified and appropriately credentialed for their role. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. A strong focus on customer service and willingness to be a resource to others is essential in this role. The schedule for this position is four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm and this is a fully on-site position in our Yakima office.
Onboarding Coordinator duties may include:
coordinating with facilitators and scheduling trainings for onboarding
creating and presenting onboarding materials in a professional manner
serving as primary contact for the coordination of student clinical rotations
verifying professional credentials, education, and completing online queries and reporting to meet requirements
obtaining and reviewing criminal history background checks and coordinating the fingerprinting process when necessary
managing the online training system, including setting up accounts, assigning trainings, and providing usage assistance to staff and supervisors as needed
serving as a resource to employees to discuss & resolve employment concerns
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
One year of related experience, preferably in human resources
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide documentation upon hire or be approved for a qualified medical or religious exemption prior to starting work
