Conagra Brands Hiring for HR Generalist at Lyons, Wisconsin Full Time

Reporting to the Plant HR Manager, you will be responsible for employee relations and labor relations resource at a large plant site (approx. 800 employees). Responsible for several area of human resources such as recruiting, labor relations, training, EEO/AAP, benefits, employee relations, compensation and continuous improvement. Involves administration of existing programs following policies and procedures including EEO compliance.

You will:

• Administer human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel
• Helps develop and implement personnel policies and procedures
• Prepare and maintain employee handbook and procedures manual.
• Participate in developing department goals and systems.
• Administer the compensation program
• Monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as needed
• Communicate benefit and wellness program information to employees.
• Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and seasonal employees;
• Conduct new-employee orientations.
• Write and place advertisements.
• Handle employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
• Helps evaluate reports, decisions and results of department concerning established goals.
• Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
• Serve as the employee advocate and maintain collaborative relationship with Union leadership

You must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
• 3+ years in Human Resources
• 2+ years in union facility
• Experience with HRIS systems
• Demonstrated recruitment experience for both hourly and salary positions
• Demonstrated knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action regulations and requirements
• Bi-lingual; Spanish speaking preferred
