Job Description
Currently seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management to operations staff, continually meeting/exceeding customer service expectations, while also meeting financial and strategic objectives. Ensures total compliance with company policies and procedures and Federal and State laws. You will play a key role in improving customer satisfaction.
*Required Essential Duties & Responsibilities*
- heavy international shipping experience preferred,
- vessel planning and tracking experience,
- experience planning incoming foreign shipments to docks,
- maximized container planning (and tracking any issues)
- planning number of containers necessary per shipment,
- planning dock to storage or truck pickups
- planning truck shipments to end point (client or to our warehouse)
- ability to work with all logistics companies involved to:
- build relationships
- maximize efficiency
- get accurate quotes for ETAs
- get accurate quotes for costs
- work toward keeping costs down
- keep tracking status and ETAs updated
- calculate the correct markups on shipping costs for each project
- communication skills with internal staff (sales and sales support)
- regularly communicate ETA changes
- regularly update status changes
- regularly communicate any additional costs (plus markup) that are incurred
- confirmation back that client is aware of any of the above changes
- ability to work with offsite storage as well as our onsite warehouse regarding shipments
- onsite daily in Dallas is preferable, although hybrid or fully remote are possible for the right person.
