Overview:
Oversees the Occupational health program. Promotes services and works closely with industrial companies and the communities.
Responsibilities:
Performs health screenings and health assessments i.e. post offer physical exams, wellness screening, audiometric testing, vision screening, drug screening, spirometry testing, respirator clearance exams, adult immunizations, and blood borne pathogen exposure care and follow up protocol.

Manages and maintains proper protocols for breath alcohol testing, drug screen handling, audiometer testing, spirometer testing and other services as needed. Maintains up-to-date information on OSHA, DOT and Workers Compensation regulations as it relates to services provided for employers. May perform training for staff in these areas when necessary.

Serve as liaison between employers, Workers Compensation Insurance companies and third party administrators of Industrial Accounts as necessary. Communicates appropriate information to employers and clients in a timely and professional manner. Assists providers, managers and staff by contacting employers to help resolve problems or questions. Provides services consistent with standards, laws, and company policies.

Direct marketing to employers regarding the occupational health services. This includes calling companies, responding to emails promptly, offering proposals, and mailing informational material to companies.

Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health records.

Provides supervision of the Workers Compensation and clerical staff workflow (excluding personnel related issues).

Schedules and manages off-site clinics, random drug testing and annual review of employer respirator questionnaires.

Set up new accounts for both Workers Compensation and Industrial Accounts. Ensures that all necessary information is entered in Practice Management system and arranges any lab or other tests that are required. Provides the necessary training for the staff and providers as needed to accommodate a new account.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors, Nursing, Required
EXPERIENCE:
3 years, Preferred
3 years experience in Occupational Health Medicine is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state.
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
PREFERRED
COHN Certification preferred.
