Automotive repair company in Plain City has a Lead Technician position that needs to be filled. We are starting a new growth phase late in 2021 and need a strong leader to assist in executing the plan.

Primary Job Description

• Manage the effective flow of work and maximize completed billed hours in the shop: ​Performance inspections and in partnership with General Manager, dispatch sold repairs & services to technicians to ensure the highest level of billed hour production. Answers questions from technicians to help them move past hindrances from completing repairs and services.

• Completing Services and Repairs on customer’s vehicles: ​Lead Techs are expected to be mastery-level experts in their craft and are expected to complete services and repairs with excellence, integrity, precision, and extreme care. Lead Techs are expected to complete a minimum of 40 flat rate hours per week.

• Partner with Office Staff to deliver on Company Sales Goals with Integrity: ​ Lead Techs are expected to inspect vehicles and quote needed repairs and services to each customer. At times, Lead Techs will be asked to work directly with customers to explain the condition of the vehicle and answer questions the customer may have about their needed services or repairs.

• Manage, Mentor, and Coach: ​The Lead Tech role acts as a manager, mentor, and coach to technicians, helping them complete difficult repairs, increase their efficiency, assist with diagnostics, or providing direction in difficult situations. Manage technician performance in partnership with General Manager.

SECONDARY:

• Quality Control: ​Perform Quality Control for fellow technicians and cleaning on vehicles if General Service Tech is unable

• Cleaning & Prep: ​Assist in keeping shop area clean, safe, free of debris and other hazards.
