Confidential Hiring for Director of Fleet Maintenance Job at Grand Rapids, MI Full Time

Grand Rapids based carrier is seeking an experienced director of maintenance. Must be self-driven and effectively manage change in a dynamic atmosphere. You will be accountable for the following areas:

· Manage personnel at multiple locations

· Prioritize repairs

· Use Fleet Software to track & document equipment repairs

· Work with local and national vendors to increase performance & reduce cost

. Oversee all operation of the maintenance department

· Manage costs and purchasing for multiple locations

· Manage parts, warranty and tires

· Coordinate breakdown service, repair and recovery as needed

The following skills and tendencies would be beneficial:

· Previous experience in tractor/trailer environment

· Ability to set / maintain goals and project timelines

· Natural ability to interact with drivers and management

· Experience with fleet maintenance software’s such as Dossier, RTA, ManagerPlus or TMT

· Proficiency with MS Office applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

· Cope with stressful situations while remaining calm

· Influence positive change and growth without being overbearing
