Overview

Global Manufacturing Company with US Headquarters in Southeastern Wisconsin is searching for a General Manager to lead its North American Business Unit in achieving customer growth and retention, ensuring safe & efficient operations and financial success including year over year performance.

This key leader will closely partner with the global executive team and local functional leadership team to ensure alignment and execution of critical business strategic goals.

The incumbent will be empowered to effect change through these duties and responsibilities:

• Lead and drive all aspects of multi-site manufacturing including developing and managing leadership teams, defining, and articulating strategy and vision in alignment with the global business strategy, and optimizing total costs, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee the safe operation of the facilities including the safe conduct of subordinates.
• Build and maintain relationships with other local leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of products and services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
• Manage annual operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure consistency with strategic objectives within financial plan expectations.
• Oversee adequacy and ensures soundness of the company’s local financial structures. Controls costs and identifies actions that will lead to more cost-effective outcomes. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department, site and/or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the business in North America and ensure that all business transactions are compliant with

  all

  federal, state and local regulations as well as Worldwide Company policies, procedures, ISO and other management systems.

• Partner with local management to develop a people strategy aligned with business needs; and provide leadership, coaching and direction to local leaders.
• Responsible for timely communication of the state of the business to general employee population on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Successful candidate must live in or relocate to Southeastern Wisconsin and be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; advanced degree desired
• Previous experience in a high volume, heavily customer-driven manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated, stable, progressive on-site leadership experience across multiple functional areas such as operations, finance, sales, and significant people management
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience developing and communicating a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the business strategy
• Ability to communicate candidly and encourage candid feedback from cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and strategic planning and execution skills as well as financial acumen
• Previous international business (Europe, Mexico) experience
• Willingness to travel domestically and or internationally up to 25%
• Hybrid work model available, but must be willing to work in office at least 3 days per week
