Training and Organizational Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist will partner with the Department Manager to develop processes and communication that support Talent Management and OD initiatives throughout the company. Initiatives this position will be responsible for include Performance Management, development objective plans and related learning, change management, surveys and assessments and other talent management processes to drive effective standardization and alignment across the organization.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Conceptualize and develop tools and internal marketing communications to support Talent Management programs
• Create individual and team development plans.
• Research, design, develop, and procure learning and development programs directed toward improving the effectiveness and profitability of the company.
• Research content, design presentations/supplemental materials, and facilitate the delivery of content/learning sessions and other initiatives related to the overall OD strategy.
• Strengthen the associate experience by ensuring associates are aware of and effectively utilize HR information, programs, resources/tools related to development and Performance Management.
• Administration of the recognition program and management of the Educational Reimbursement program

General Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to outline process maps, job aids, training content, to support in the training and development needs of each department.
• Researching, sourcing, and/or developing professional and leadership development content including designing presentations and participant materials.
• Collaborating with HR partners and department leaders to assess, create and/or facilitate solutions for increased individual and team effectiveness.
• Managing projects including leading team members to plan, execute, and complete the project.
• Supporting the administration, analysis, and/or action planning for employee engagement surveys.
• Performing some administrative tasks to support the department.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (HR or Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or Sociology, etc.)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate learning, talent, and/or organizational development.
• Strong written/verbal communication and facilitation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently collaboratively
• Familiar with a variety of OD and LD practices and procedures
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on information.
• Experience with the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to manage projects.
• Ability to build successful relationships and partnerships across the organization
• Strong customer service skills and an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• KSA #1: Demonstrated knowledge of learning methodology and adult learning principles.
• KSA #2: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Fluent proficiency in other languages is desirable.
• KSA #3: Outstanding presentation skills with capability to facilitate developmental content to audiences of all sizes.
• KSA #4: Capable of designing and delivering leadership and management development content and programs.
• KSA #5: Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• KSA #6: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, etc. Articulate preferred.
• KSA #7: Excellent project management skills while maintaining a commitment to quality. Must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of independence to plan, organize, and implement multiple projects within time constraints to meet deadlines.
• KSA #8: Must have effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts with all members of the Human Resources team as well as various business partners throughout cross-functional departments.
• KSA #9: Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs with the ability to deliver results in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
• KSA #10: Ability to provide performance consulting to business leaders and can make strategic recommendations to support the business.
• KSA #11: Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

Work Schedule + Benefits

• Full-time, Exempt
• Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm PST
• Department needs may call for occasional overtime
• Excellent Benefits, to include Medical, Dental, Vision
• 65-80K per year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
