Copper Ridge Surgery Center is one of the largest surgery centers in the state and was recently named number one in Michigan by Newsweek magazine (Oct ’21) based on quality of care, performance data, peer evaluations and our response to COVID. We are proud to offer quality services and outcomes in northern lower Michigan often at a lower cost to patients. We are in search of a skilled Human Resources (HR) professional to join our leadership team and oversee the day-to-day HR functions of this 170-employee operation.
Summary
The Human Resource Manager is an exempt member of the Surgery Center Leadership Team. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the employee life-cycle and ensuring our talented staff have the same quality experience we strive to deliver to our patients.
This is a fast-paced environment, requiring both the ability to think strategically about how to link human capital to business objectives, along with expertise in HR systems and processes to ensure the organization’s practices are practical, consistent, and legally compliant.
Candidate profile
Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resource Manager has a high level of interpersonal and leadership ability. The position requires a experienced HR practitioner who is collaborative, with excellent writing and communications skills. In addition to making sure we have solid HR practices, the HR Manager fosters the organizational culture and helps leadership drive the organization toward a Best In Class workplace.

Physical requirements include: ability to talk, stand, walk, climb stairs, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 20+ lbs. Visual acuity to use keyboard and operate equipment.
