Iris Rd,MountPleasant, IA 52641 location! The Material handler is responsible for general labor within the facility. Position includes comprehensive benefits package and paid time off on day one and mentorship support to ensure successful team member growth and development.
Overtime is anticipated with this full-time, direct hire opportunity. Education and ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)Previous experience in a related area is preferred, not required will train. Must have basic Microsoft knowledge.
Experience with side forklift and/or overhead crane preferred, not required will train. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust be willing/able to work mandatory overtime and occasional Saturdays. Must be able to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules.
Comfort and familiarity with semi-truck & trailers. Reading and understanding work orders to be processed. Understanding counting by weights Using tape measure Reading fractions and decimals.
Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane. Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
High attention to detail and observation. General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments Ability to work on feet for long hours Excellent communication skills Understanding and adherence of safety protocols and requirements Lifting up to 50 pounds when a lifting device is not applicable/available. Good working knowledge of warehouse procedures a plus.
