We are seeking an experienced full time or part time Medical Biller. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service and the ability to perform other assigned duties including front desk duties.

Job Summary

• Responsible for scrubbing and submitting claims electronically or by mail
• Responsible for all accounts receivable, posting insurance payments, working denials, aged claims, outstanding payments and calling patients if needed.
• Good knowledge of all major insurance companies claim payment and denial appeal process
• Follow up with insurance companies for any disputes regarding payment
• Follow-up on patient payment, including debt collection
• Post insurance and patient payments and resolve any payment problem issues
• Assists with other administrative tasks as requested by management such as helping out with front desk when occasionally

Minimum Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years as a medical biller preferably in an urgent care or primary care medical office
• Certification in medical coding a plus
• Additional Skills Required: Health Insurance Reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, ICD-9, ICD-10, Claims Handling and Coordination of Benefit
• Basic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Record
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
