Corovan Hiring for Logistics Specialist at San Diego, CA Full Time

Reporting to the Manager- Corovan Anywhere, the Logistic Account Specialist is responsible for coordinating required operational, pricing, accounting and customer service events for each shipment assigned, with several shipments ongoing at once that are in different stages of completion. The Logistic Account Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for all internal/ external customers by using excellent communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of the company’s, and the selected vendors’ services and products.

Primary job function requires exceptional customer focus while concentrating on data collection and analysis of sales-related, and pricing related information and statistics in order to accurately and effectively deliver retail interactions.

This is an independent contributor position. This position may participate in weekly team training. This position is also responsible for reporting and escalating any issues to their manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Logistics Duties:

• Drives activities of logistics and sales team in a manner that increases brand awareness, service presence and tracks revenue generation for logistic services.
• Monitor on a continual basis (daily/weekly) transactional service data. Communicates with Logistic Department trends and issues pertaining to customers, concerns, opportunities and trends.
• Communicates regularly with all levels of account managers for updates on their activities.
• Disseminates customer information to Corovan Salespeople and the Logistic Team ensuring all service knowledge, initiatives and trends are up-to-date.
• Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with established managers and representatives ensuring open streams of communication.
• Processes customer orders/ changes according to established company process and practices.
• Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes.
• Plan, organize and execute logistics support activities such as follow up.
• Manage the logistical aspects of service life cycle for every customer need and requirement.
• Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.
• Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules and responsibility and compliance matrices.
• Support team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of customer resources.

Customer Relations:

• Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer’s key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
• Explain proposed solutions to customers, management or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
• Works closely with internal departments to resolve any of customer’s queries and disputes.
• Escalate timely feedback to the manager regarding service failure or customer concerns.
• Partner with sales and logistics team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectation.

· Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding customer information.

· Assist with client inquiries and answers client questions with regards to overseeing shipments throughout different stages of completion and customer service issues.

· Uses a high level of professionalism in verbal and e-mail communication, always seeking to be helpful, to focus on problem solving and arriving at a win-win interaction.

· Maintain excellent customer service with the customers to establish solid relationships.

· Handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate any pertinent matters to their manager.

· Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters related to the operation.

· Maintain excellent customer service with the customers, vendors, sales, transportation, and operation teams to establish solid relationships.

· Participates in ongoing training and may assist with training of new employees through cross-functional collaboration between locations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

1. Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Five (5) years’ experience working in customer service, preferably in an office environment.

3. Experience in sales data collection and analysis.

4. Proficient in MS Office, including MS Excel and MS Word.

Preferred:

· Service industry experience highly desirable.

TRAVEL:

Minimal.

1. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

2. All Overtime must be approved by manager before working.

3. Employees may be required to work late evenings or weekends depending on the business needs.
