We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the transition and scaling of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics (North America) Inc.’s trucking business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation and logistics, with a specific focus on trucking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for transitioning and scaling the trucking business
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the trucking division, including dispatching, routing, and scheduling of drivers and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT regulations
- Maintain and develop relationships with key customers, vendors, and partners
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs and implement cost-saving measures
- Manage and train a team of operations and logistics professionals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics.
- Previous trucking agency experience needed.
- Proven experience in managing and scaling trucking operations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a freight broker license
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
