About usEstablished health insurance agent specializing in the individual market, looking for an assistant that has extensive experience with Covered California and the off-exchange marketplace. Applicants without prior experience working with the Covered California system will not be considered. Candidate should be able to jump in on day one. Knowledge of Medicare products is a plus but not mandatory. You will be the first point of contact for many clients so we need someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Someone who is detail orientated and has a strong desire to help people would fit this position well.Responsibilities
- Answer phones, pre-qualify the client to speak to an agent. No cold calling involved.
- Help work out customer service issues dealing with health insurance companies (Billing, claims, finding a doctor, eligibility, etc.)
- Evaluate individual customers’ needs and financial status in order for the agent to recommend plans
- Maintain customer database and records
- Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services
- Keeping clients informed of past due bills and changes in their policies
Skills
- Working experience with the Covered California system
- Basic computer knowledge, familiar with Gmail, G Suite apps such as Google Drive, Google Voice, Google Sheets and Google Docs
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with licensed agent
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service and ability to establish long lasting working relationships with clients.
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify client’s needs, take meticulous notes and help find answers to client’s basic health insurance questions.
- Must have reliable computer and high speed internet access
- High school or BS degree
- Bilingual Preferred
Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:
