This is a chance to lead the architecture of enterprise scale security solutions within the Cloud, while pioneering security architectures that support Cox’s business initiatives. You’ll collaborate with some truly talented teams to design enterprise architectures that bring new features and technologies to life. What You’ll Do
With your feet on the ground and your head in the Cloud, you’ll show up and dig in to a number of responsibilities. Here are some of the primary tasks you’ll tackle:
• Promote security and privacy by design through effective partnership with product, strategy and engineering teams.
• Work closely with our product teams to fully understand business priorities.
• I.D. security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures, then offer your recommendations for changes or enhancements.
• Lead projects to implement advanced security techniques across multiple cloud providers
• Work with our product and engineering teams to review, manage, and track security vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and ongoing vulnerability testing.
• Lead cost-risk tradeoff discussions with our product teams, helping decide how important (and at what increased cost) each security requirement/functionality can be added in the product.
• Negotiate security deliverables and requirements with product teams and vendors.
• I.D. security control gaps in existing cloud platforms and provide recommended changes to improve cloud security posture across multiple cloud providers.
• Provide mentorship and invest in the development of team members.
• Identify security trends and changes, then relate those changes to the current and future needs of our product teams.

Minimum Requirements

You’re a seasoned pro and it shows. Here is a list of the necessities for the job, as well as some “preferred” qualities that we hope you have as well:
• 8 or more years of experience in a related field or Cloud Security
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to identify problems that have a direct effect on major segments of business programs and focus on producing results.
• Capability to apply existing and emerging technologies, practices, and processes.
• Ability to contribute to major projects or programs with business impact within department, functional area.
• Willingness to receive some technical guidance on unusual or complex issues.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex problems, including root cause, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills to develop consensus and understanding among our cross-functional teams on key security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to develop and implement leading practice security processes and practices across cross-functional teams throughout Technology and the Business.
You have working knowledge of:
• Application architecture including security best practices.
• Cloud concepts and network architectures.
• Network security concepts including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and WAFs.
• Encryption concepts and implementation methods.
• Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies.
Preferred:
• MS/MA in a related discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.); and/or 3 years of experience in related field.
• Experience with cloud security solutions including AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, container security solutions, and cloud security posture management solutions.
• Big Four consulting background or Fortune 500 company experience.
• Telecom/Cable industry experience.
• At least one relevant industry certification – CISSP, CISM, CISA
• Cloud Provider certifications – Azure, GCP, AWS
