Responsibilities
- Coordinates standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures
- Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels of the organization
to attract a broad candidate base, utilizing cost effective, industry appropriate job boards, social networking sites, local associations, and other sources as necessary
- Work with Vice President of Human Resources to develop staffing strategies and implement workforce planning /succession plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for key and critical positions of responsibility;
- Hire, coach, and mentor Talent Acquisition team
- Develop a network of college job placement programs and coordinate teams to attend job fairs and college recruiting opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain standard reports/dashboards as necessary to carry out functions of department; open positions, workforce planning, days to fill,
- Partner with Sonepar HRIS/HRSS to ensure systems and accurate associate data and process changes in the HRIS system as needed
- Participate and collaborate in committees/teams across SUSA and Crawford for process improvement or to create new initiatives
- Create and communicate pertinent information to different levels of the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in examining and re-engineering recruiting policy and procedures, formulating, developing, and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Knowledge of HR law as it pertains to interviewing, recruitment, and selection practices
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understands the industries in which the organization competes; awareness of how external and internal forces impact the organization; possesses general knowledge and understanding of business areas such as finance, sales & marketing, and information technology.
- The ability to convey information in a thorough, clear, and timely manner which supports information sharing and goal achievement.
- Drives results and success, conveys a sense of urgency; drives issues to closure and persists despite obstacles and opposition.
- Develops broad, cooperative relationships with diverse groups and individuals even when having no direct authority over them.
