Creative Mischief is hiring a Frontend Web Developer to join our team. This is a full time 40 hour/week position with company benefits. This job is currently remote, however we would love to be back in the office a couple of days a week later on in the year

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual interested in building websites for our clients. As a Frontend Web Developer at Creative Mischief, you will work directly with our strategists and designers and play an integral role in the creation process, producing custom designed websites that improve their business outcomes. The role is focused on Wordpress development.

We work with a wide range of businesses, building websites that become the central hub for marketing and communications. This isn’t your average churn-and-burn website creation role, where you pump out website after website for a different client and never see them again. We look to work with clients who need a long-term, multi-year partnership with an agency. We build long term agency relationships with our clients. You will have the opportunity to see how your code efforts impact their business, and see the client relationship develops over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive an excellent end-user experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability user interface, and simplicity
• Collaborate with our Design team to help formulate an effective, responsive design
• Collaborate with our Marketing team to implement new features and integrations with 3rd parties
• Collaborate with our Marketing and Design teams to implement new ideas and features, integrations and an effective, responsive design.
• Establish and guide the website’s architecture
• Design and implement new features and functionality
• Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS
• Ensure site is scalable, with high-availability.
• Manage all technical aspects of the solution.

Knowledge:

• At least 3 years proficiency in with WordPress and other front-end technologies, including: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience building custom user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Experience using Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector, FireBug etc.
• You have a through knowledge of CSS and how changes impact the user experience and how different browsers render the CSS to ensure consistent styles across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to enables cross-vendor integration and interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities work in a fast-paced environment
