Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Seattle City Light is looking for the right candidate to lead its Credit and Collection group. The Credit and Collections group is made up of two teams. One team is responsible for executing a variety of tasks and transactions associated with managing active and inactive account debt, which includes conducting remote disconnections and reconnections. The second team is responsible for providing financial bill assistance to income eligible customers. The team utilizes two programs that provide payment assistance to customers with delinquent balances and the other program provides income eligible customers with a discount on their electric rates.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience managing programs or services in a public-sector agency (or) an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class.
