Domestic Air Freight Operations Manager
This individual is directly responsible for the timely and profitable movement of shipments tendered to the company in accordance with customers and regulating agencies requirements.

Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for the routing of all shipments and capitalizing on all consul opportunities.
- Ensure that customer service expectations are being met.
- Confirm all pick-ups are made.
- Identify solutions, and work with vendors on corrective actions required.
- Verify and update shipment information in computer system.
- Work with and develop airline and surface carrier relationships.
- Enforcement of regulatory requirements, IATA, TSA, etc.
- Lead PM OPS personnel and take on an active role in customer service issues.
- Lead PM OPS personnel to ensure the efficient flow of paperwork.
- Quote and track/trace as needed to support the AF team.
- Review and select outside vendors providing services to the operation.
- Help in completing carrier “Report Card” with PM feedback.
- Negotiate spot rates on line hauls and airlines.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of job-related or industry work experience.
- Knowledge of freight movement.
- Knowledge of government, and airline regulations.
- Knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Skill in using a personal computer and various software packages.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to identify, report, and execute on recurring problems.
