Nelson Global, Indianapolis is located in Indianapolis close to 465 and Executive Drive and is a manufacturer of complex, high-performance tube assemblies, metal fabrications, and precision weldments for OEMs in a diverse set of end markets including on-highway, off-highway, construction, and military durable equipment.
Nelson Global ,Indianapolis is recruiting for a dynamic Human Resources Assistant to join our team and contribute to our growth.
The Human Resources Assistant will do the following tasks:
· Support internal and external HR related requests.
· Respond to HR inquiries and requests for information.
· Compose and prepare routine communications and perform routine office tasks.
· Maintain employee records.
· Assist with the recruitment process and handle communications with staffing agencies.
· Schedule interviews, conduct interviews, new hire orientations, and benefits orientations.
· Assist in processing employee time and attendance.
· Create employee profiles in HR database.
· Maintain employee headcount (Full time and temporary).
· Produce and submit reports on HR activity.
· Prepare HR Documents as required (e.g., onboarding/termination, FMLA tracking, Short Term Disability Processing).
· Work directly with supervisors to confirm open positions.
· Other duties may include data entry, reporting, copying, scanning, filing etc.
Required or desired education, experience, skills, and behaviors:
· High School diploma or equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree desired.
· Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an administrative position, prior HR experience desired.
· Ideal candidate must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional ability to interact and communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all departments and employees within the company.
· Time & Attendance processing experience a plus.
· Must be able to meet deadlines.
· Able to accurately follow directions.
· “Can-Do” attitude.
